Company A has filed my 485/EAD/AP. I am planning to change company B on AC21 after 180 days. Can I use AP which is filed by company A, for travel purpose after switching to Company B?

IV website service provider has informed that they will be installing new hardware on the core switches that are used by IV servers. As such there is a scheduled down time of up to an hour which will occur on October 24, 2008, sometime between 12 AM CST and 6 AM CST.

As such access to IV website may be intermittently interrupted during this window on 10/24/2008.

My job title changed from programmer anaylst to technology and system anayst. This was an internal change in my company where they re classified everyone. My job duties remain exactly the same. My employer is also willing to write my job title as the old one on the employer verification letter.

However there is a slight problem. My recent pay stubs show my new job title. Nowhere else the old job title is mentioned..


will this be a problem?

Should I put my new job title as the one in 485 application even though my 140 and perm labor had my old title?

Please suggest

Hi Gurus,

I have approved H1 for 3 years. I need to travel to India, but my AP is in Process. What I have heard is that it takes more than 2-3 months to get the AP approved. What are my options?

- Can I leave the country and get H1 stamp while AP is in process.
- Should I wait till AP gets approved?
- Is it OK to travel while while AP is in process?

Please advice?

I recently got an RFE for my I 485 Application.

Need to prove my non-immigration status from Nov 29 2007 to Nov 24 2008 .

I have I-797 ( H1-B approval ) for the above mentioned period. But My Last Name in the approval has a typo error ( in place of letter A they misstyped U). My Enployer has opened a Service request to correct the Name in H1 B approval. But he is saying that he never got the corrected approval. Time went by and i applied for H1 ext..i got the H1 extension from Nov 25 2008 to Nov 2011.

So My question is

Is it okay to submit all the documention that was sent to USCIS to correct the name along with the I 797,I-94 for the above mentioned period and explain them that we did not recieved the corrected I-797 ? or not

Please suggest me ..

Hi

I have applied for I-140 thro Substitute in March 2006(15 months ago) and I got a query on my education and company financial status in August 06 and attorney replied back to query in the month of October 2006.
When I check my status online shows as "we received your application on October 20th 2006 and in process".

Last month there was an updated date on 05/25/07 on my case and when i checked with employer, he says we have not yet received any information from USCIS to attorney.

Now the attorney says, we will be Re-filing my case, as one case got denial from my company (Not mine itseems). So that we will get new Receipt Number as I have only 8 Months left on my H1 and we can apply for 1 year extension meanwhile before 6 months of H1 expiry.

Is it a good idea to re-file I-140 from the same Service Center(NSC)?

or Can I apply in PERM now as I have only 8 months on my H1.

Pl. suggest.

Hi,
I received RFE on my 485 for I94 copy. My situation is below

I travelled to Tijuana, Mexico from San Diego by road to request
for new I94 at the US Port of Entry at San Ysidro, Tijuana as my old I94
was issued only until PP expiry date but since i already had a valid I94 on H1B notice, The officer didn't issue a new white I94 card even though i requested for one. Also, The officer took my earlier old white I94 card, so i don't have one with me now though i have a copy
of it. Also USCIS is asking for a detailed explanation as to why new I94 was not issued at POE. please advise on how to respond to this RFE

As PERM processing becomes faster in recent months, icert problems continue though. DOL has reported that the incorrect error message that pops up upon entering a date for the prevailing wage source is the result of recent system edit. The glitch will not affect useability, i.e., users can bypass the error message and submit LCAs for processing. In addition, a fix is in development and will likely be in place today or tomorrow. Common recent problem is receiving an inappropriate system warning when entering the Prevailing Wage source. We hope these problem will be fixed soon as the PERM process becoming rather annoying. We will keep our readers posted.
