HI,
Starting from Jan 2010 there are new rules for getting the prevailing wage info. The turn around time for this in worst case is 60 days. Do you happen to know if there is any way to expedite this.
Also do we have to go through DOL to get this info or can we use any other means.
Any information is highly appreciated.

Switching from H-1B to EAD comes under change in employee's eligibility. That's the reason new I-9 is filed (to reflect change in employee's employment eligibility).

So employer has to inform USCIS about EAD use. But in this case (and termination) the actual H1b cancellation is USCIS decision ?
(The pdf does not state what action USCIS will take)

When they say "Continued Heavy Demand", what does it mean? Howcome there can be demand with Older Priority Dates? Labor Substitution is no longer possible so there can't be new demand with Older PD. So howcome PD goes back? Does anybody have insight into that?

Therefore, their earlier assumption that they can move forward was wrong. On the other hand, they probably totally messed up in counting the number of cases they already had on hand.

I am about to prove once and for all just how geeky I am. :)
Vincent was indeed hidden in the Shinra Mansion in Nibelheim. You can get him the first time you visit there. Somewhere in the Mansion is a bit of paper with four clues on it (the last is in invisible ink) telling you that someone is locked away in the basement and by getting these four clues right, you'll find the combination to open the safe and get the key to release him.
When you've got all four numbers, you open the safe and get attacked by a monster called Lost Number (don't ask how i remember all this. I have no idea). He's got one strong magical half that's vulnerable to physical attacks and one strong physical half that's vulnerable to magic. Eventually you'll kill one half off and be left with the other. I found that the physical half is more likely to kill you, so soon as the whole battle begins, only use magic attacks to kill off the physical side and be left with the nice and easy magic one.
Once you've killed him completely, you'll get a key and an Odin materia.
Go to the basement as per the storyline. Once you're down there, there's a screen with a long passageway leading up to the library. There's a door there. Open it. Find Vincent. You'll have to talk to him a couple of times though, until he just says "Leave me alone" or something similar. Do the whole Library / Sephiroth bit then come out and he'll join you.

Yes, you may apply for multiple visas. However, the rule of latest application of the attached I-94 applies. If you get your H4 first, and then your H1, it would mean your H1 would be valid.
If you get your H1 first, and then your H4, the I-94 attached to the H1 will no longer be valid, requiring you to get the H1 visa stamped in your home country consulate and re-enter.
You could simply wait out until you get your H4(at the risk of running out of the H1 cap). If you're willing to risk traveling and reenterng the US after stamping in your homecountry, you should be OK.
There are some attorneys however, who charge a hefty fee for you to get your H1 stamped at a Canadian US consulate if you fear rejection in your home country.

Now my situaion is: I have the receipt for H4 status change from F1, my employer has applied for my H1B in premium processing today (Apr 3), so that means I would be getting the H1B approval hopefully by the third week of April but in my understanding the I-94 for H1B will be valid from October 1 only while my H4 I-94 will be valid right after I get the approval (probably sometime in May).
In this case, do I still have to go back in my country to validate my H1B I-94 given that H1B is valid from Oct 1?
Please suggest me. I am getting really tensed.

All applications goto NSC. They sort and send some to texas. You have to be lucky. In my company among four friends of us, two went to Texas and another two unlucky onces when to NSC. NSC ones are still waiting while other two got approval within two months.

If I invoke AC21 after 180 days of filing and change to a different company, how would I ensure that USCIS removes the current lawyer as the attorney of record? My wife is planning to convert from H4 to H1 for dentist.
1) Does she need a dental license to apply for H1 ?
She 'qualifies' for a dental license (ie meets all requirements), but almost all states require a SSN to issue a dental license. Since she is on H4, she doesnt have a SSN. Problem: Dental License needs SSN - SSN needs H1 - H1 needs license - basically a "Catch 22" position here
2) I did some googling and found that UCSIS issues H1 for 1 year for nurses who do not have license(because of no SSN). Would this apply to dentists as well ?? link (http://www.murthy.com/nurse_faq.html#2)

dont worry thats normal. when i was in florida, i always got a temp licence valid for 4 weeks. and then the actual renewed licence arrived within 3 weeks in mail .

Sorry Man I never posted a reply to the substituting for gradients. But your latter image was much better with image swap (instead of gradient). Doing your navigation in flash would be an excellent idea (instead of mapped images). I am thinking of writing a tut on how to make better gradients without using gradients....you think peeps would be interested? This technique has produced astounding results for me....I am trying to work on the grunge thing I jsu cannot produce anything cool....by the way me2 is very cool.
