When was your I-140 applied? I would assume revoking of 140 should be your only concern, since you already applied for 485, you don't need to bother about your status.Also apply fopr EAD based on proof that you applied for 485(Fedex # should be enough)
One thing I am not sure if not getting paid during 485 processing would have any impact on the case? Gurus, pls chip in..

What I understood from Ron's article:
They're not processing fast enough to exhaust visa numbers.
They want to minimize visa number wastage.
They may move dates significantly forward so that they can approve low-hanging fruits to approve as many as possible
Many people will have dates current, but few will get approved... it'll be luck of draw.
Dates will then return to retrogressed levels at the beginning of the next financial year.
However, overall visa number wastage should be much smaller than previous years as they have started moving the dates forward much sooner this time.Disclaimer: This is my interpretation of Ron's post. These are not my predictions.
Personally, I'm Pessimistic... being in India-EB3, that's not a state of mind... it's a lifestyle.

Yes, your reply is exactly same as her. But she added one more point. According to her The CBP officer can't deport a AP bearer. He/she has to parole the person and then can schedule a secondary check for I 140 validity. In such case my attorney can pitch in.
But I am not sure if this is true or she is being over assuring.

If i am not mistaken We are looking at a legislation which will atleast renew them for few more months....So just as a word of caution it is too early for any assumption that EB4 Religious workers and EB5 is going to completely expire........ Wait 2 more weeks and we will know...

I am a July 2 filer. I got 485 receipt notice from California Service Center with receipt date of july 2. Today, in mail, I got another notice called transfer notice, which states that my case has been transferred to Nebraska. The receipt date on the transfer notice is Sep 5. Is it nromal to have such diferent receipt dates? Will USCIS process by receipt date on receipt notice or on transfer notice?

As far as Soft LUD is concerned, there should be one or two after finger printing. (Refer to http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=18737 for EAD cases).
Your priority date is current.
I hope that they must have sent for Name Check long ago - this should not be blocking.
What about processing date (Aug 24, 2007 is receipt date)? There was memo from USCIS that it may take over 18 months for processing date to come around Aug 2007. Your I485 i.e. GC can be blocked by processing date.
For example today Nebraska is processing EB based I-485 Application of July 14, 2007. I heard that in a month there was just a change of three days. For Texas, keep on looking at

Am I the only one who thinks it would be sheer genius if Kodak was to license the Canon mount? Imagine if they offered both Nikon and Canon mounts (even better - an interchangeable mount plate so you could have it both ways on one body)!
Surely this is possible. Perhaps Canon is blocking them or it's just not cost-effective?

My EB2 labor was filled (different company) as Software Engineer (Level III)
When you say Level III, are you referring the to the Wage level? My EB3 was under 15-1031.00. Now with the same company, If I have to do EB2, can it be in the same category? The only other relevant category I see is:
15-1032.00 - Computer Software Engineers, Systems Software
Also, my understanding is that when you do the prevailing wage determination, the MS+1 will be lesser than MS+1 or BS+5, but both of them qualify for EB2. Thoughts anyone?

I applied for 11th year H1B extension in June 2009 @ Vermont center and now I got an RFE which asks us to submit the end client letter with details likes the duration of the project, name of the supervisor, if vendor is involved then vendor details. I've been with the same employer (desi consulting firm) for last 7 years and with the same client for last 6 years. I dont know what will happen but I am doing everything I can and prepared for worst case scenario.
Same exact case. Just give as much detailed info as you can. Do not leave any room for any ambiguity that would confuse USCIS. Remember it is only high school level staff that is accessing your case. So they don't go by logic. Dum it down to their level. Worst case according to my lawyer is that they may give a restrictive judgement for only for the period of contract or come up with an additional RFE with more details on the additional vendor.
Please make sure your response is as comprehensive as possible. I just went through this and am waiting for a reply.
In any case, it is always good to be prepared for the worst case scenario. Just remember that we are very qualified and smart professionals and will continue to make progress no matter where we go

My wife called Air France and France's Atlanta consulate. She will be requiring Airport Transit Visa B.
She will have to mail her original and one copy of passport and I 20 form with $ 86 Visa fee for Airport Transit Visa and an Express mail self address envelope.
Also Air France is going charge $ 50 each for extra bag after first (I received a mail about baggage fee after booking my ticket).
I will never again travel with Air France, British Airway and Lufthance even after geting GC. Today these three airlines lost a customer for life.
These three airlines don't need desi's business.:mad:
if u booked just today online , u may be able to get a refund without any penalty..some airlines do that , i am not sure about airfrance.

1) What exactly does the membership drive entail?
2) How does the process work?
3) Is there a team already established? If it is then how many members does it have?
BTW i DID attend the conference call, but due to connection problems, i was not able to follow the membership drive part. If a team is already established, then the point i was trying to make was, some members of that team can work on converting existing "free" members to "paid" members.
